Thermal printers are the ideal way of printing labels in high quantities.
Being PC driven they provide the flexibility to easily design label templates.
Printers start from only a few hundred pounds and run to over a few thousand for 8” print width models. |

At Apple Labelling we have considerable experience in recommending and installing thermal printers.
Printers can generally be classified into 3 categories:
|
| LIGHT/GENERAL USE DESKTOP MODELS |
| Models such as the EZ1200 offer
great value for money at less than £400.
They feature a compact design, robust plastic construction, upto 4" print width and generally come with free software. With a print quality of
around 203dpi, they can still hold full size foils upto 300M.
|
| MID SIZED COMMERCIAL MODELS |
| If you are looking to print high
volume labels in a commercial environment, then the TEC SX4 or Citizen CLP7201 are the market leaders. They feature a fully encapsulated steel casing
with flip open "clam shell" design print heads for easy maintenance, upto 4" print width, a print quality of between 203dpi and 300dpi,
multi-function LCD display screen and on-site service contracts.
|
| FULL SIZED INDUSTRIAL MODELS |
| Best suited for large pallet
or drum labels or anywhere a smaller label just won't do, models such as the TEC B602/B802 or the Citizen 8301 are an essential buy. They feature fully
encapsulted steel casing, 6" or 8" print widths, exceptional print quality, multifunctional LCD display screen and on-site service contracts.
